About Nivaar Exam Prep

Nivaar Exam Prep publishes free, step-by-step worked solutions to the past academic exams of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), one page per question, with no account needed.

Why it exists

EGBC publishes a selection of past exam papers, but no answers. A candidate who works a past paper alone has no way to check their method. These pages give one worked route through each question, so you can compare it with your own working and see where the two differ.

EGBC also says that past papers should not be your main method of study: the syllabus for your exams and its recommended textbooks should be. We agree. The solutions are for practice once you have studied the topics, and the guides explain how the exams work and how to prepare.

What is on the site

14,492 worked questions from 1,983 past papers, across 285 subjects in 23 disciplines. Every solution is free to read. The exam questions themselves belong to EGBC and are not reproduced here: each solution page links to EGBC's past-papers page, so you read the question there and follow the solution here.

How the solutions are made

The solutions are drafted by AI, checked by automated structural and numerical scripts, and spot-checked by the operator, who is an engineering graduate and not a licensed professional engineer. They are not reviewed by a licensed engineer and may contain errors, so check them before you rely on them. How we make the solutions describes each check and what is not checked.

Every solution page and guide has a Report an error button. Confirmed errors are listed on the corrections page.

Who runs it

Nivaar Exam Prep is operated by Nivaar Tech Tools, a business name registered in Ontario, Canada, by its owner, a sole proprietor. You can reach us at Support@Nivaar.net; see the contact page for what to send where.

What Nivaar is not

Nivaar is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by EGBC, Engineers Canada, Professional Engineers Ontario, APEGA or any other regulator, and it has no access to examiners, marking schemes or exam content beyond what EGBC publishes. EGBC's own position is that it does not endorse any third-party exam preparation service. Nothing on this site is a professional engineering opinion or advice.
