How we make the solutions

This page says plainly what Nivaar Exam Prep is and is not, so you can decide whether it is worth your money and how much to trust it. It is written to be accurate, not flattering.

1. The solutions are drafted by AI

Every worked solution and study guide on this site was written by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude), working from the published past examination papers of Engineers and Geoscientists BC, the relevant syllabus, and standard reference textbooks. A person set up and ran that process; a person did not write the solutions.

2. What checking happens, and what does not

• Automated structural checks on every solution: that every question in the paper has an answer, that the maths renders, that the answer is substantive rather than a stub, and that the solution matches the question paper it claims to solve.
• Automated numerical checks where a solution produces numbers: the calculation is re-run in a script and the boxed result compared.
• A second AI review pass, looking for reasoning errors. Most published solutions have passed it; some published earlier are still waiting for it. New solutions are published only after passing it.
• Defects block publication: a new solution with a missing or stub answer, an unanswered question, or maths that does not render is not published. Some solutions published earlier still have open findings from these checks, for example a question the checker could not match cleanly to the paper.
• Spot checks by the operator, who is an engineering graduate, not a licensed professional engineer. Only a sample is spot-checked.
• Not done: review by a licensed engineer, review by an examiner, or individual certification of any solution. No solution on this site has been verified by a professional engineer, and none is endorsed by any regulator.

The practical consequence: expect errors. A method can be sound and a number wrong; a number can be right for the wrong reason; an older syllabus can differ from the current one. Use the solutions to see a route through a problem, then confirm the method against your textbook and the current syllabus. Do not memorise a final answer from here.

3. The questions belong to EGBC and are not reproduced

The examination questions are © Engineers and Geoscientists BC. We do not reproduce their text, and we do not show figures copied or redrawn from the papers. Each sitting on this site links to EGBC's official past-papers page, where the papers are published for candidates; open the paper there and read the question, then follow our worked solution. Where a solution relies on a figure from the paper, it names the figure instead of showing it. Diagrams that remain are our own explanatory sketches. A solution may restate the given numbers and the task in its own words so the working can be followed; that restatement is not a copy of the question.

4. Independence

Nivaar is an independent study-aid business based in Ontario. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Engineers Canada, Professional Engineers Ontario, APEGA or any other regulator, and it has no access to examiners, marking schemes or model answers. EGBC's own position is that it does not endorse any third-party exam preparation service, and that its past papers are published for information only. Nothing here is a professional engineering opinion or advice.

5. Reporting an error

If you think a solution is wrong, email support@nivaar.net with the discipline, subject, sitting and question number, and what you think the error is. We check every report. A confirmed error is corrected and the corrected solution replaces the old one for all customers; the sitting shows its updated date. We do not argue with reports; if we cannot confirm one, we say so and explain why.

6. Refunds

If, having read this page, the material is not what you want, our 7-day refund policy lets you walk away in full within a week of buying, for any reason.

7. Your data and the AI

Your name, email and purchases are never sent to the AI. The solutions were generated before you arrived and are stored as ordinary files; reading them involves no AI request. See the Privacy Policy.
