This Privacy Policy explains how Nivaar ("Nivaar", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services at nivaar.net and examprep.nivaar.net (together, the "Services"). We are based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.
Nivaar is a cloud platform for geomatics, land-surveying, and engineering teams (MapShare panorama/data hosting and DataShare secure file delivery) and a separate P.Eng exam-preparation service. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@nivaar.net.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing or promotional bulk email.
We send transactional, service-related email only, each triggered by an action you or another user takes. These include account signup confirmations and temporary passwords, share invitations to recipients that a user explicitly enters, exam-prep access notifications, and account/security notices. Every email identifies Nivaar as the sender and tells you why you received it. Because these messages are necessary to operate your account and the shares you request, they are not promotional and do not include a marketing unsubscribe; you can stop all account email at any time by deleting your account (see Section 8) or by contacting support@nivaar.net.
We host the Services on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States (us-east-1) and rely on the following providers to operate them:
These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on AWS. Access to files and images is granted through short-lived, signed URLs, and account access requires authentication. We restrict internal access to personal information to what is needed to operate the Services.
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we remove your account and the content you own as described in Section 8. We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or security purposes.
Under PIPEDA you have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the use of your personal information. In particular:
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in (authentication tokens) and to remember preferences such as dark mode. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
The Services are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
